A search continues for a third mountain lion on Crosier Mountain following yesterday’s fatal incident. Our Claire Mollé spoke with Colorado Parks and Wildlife today about what may have contributed to the mountain lion attack, noting that encounters like this are extremely rare, as mountain lions do not typically target humans. Tragedies like this can happen without fault…not the hiker’s and not the mountain lions’. It is simply a very sad reminder of the unpredictability of nature.
