Performers for the 1st Annual Estes Park Jazz & Blues Festival included Chris Daniel & the Kings, Mollie O’Brien & Rich Moore and Wendy Woo. Chris Daniels has been playing and recording since 1970 and was inducted in the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2013. Mollie O’Brien is also a member of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and won a Grammy in 1997. A Colorado music scene mainstay, Wendy Woo has shared the stage with Michael Franti, the Indigo Girls, and many other national favorites.
Chain Station's music is well-steeped in Americana roots, with vocal harmonies that are high, lonesome, and tight. Their picking ranges from lightning-fast to mountain mellow. They are a bluegrass band that would satisfy a picky old-timer and delight fans of newgrass, a delicate balance indeed.
