JJ Rutherford from the Estes Park Museum shares the history of this unique hydro plant which was built by F.O. Stanley in 1909 to bring hydroelectric power to his brand new hotel and eventually to the entire town of Estes Park until it was damaged in the Lawn Lake Flood of 1982.
Robin Stitzel gives us a rare peak inside the Birch Cabin in Estes Park. The cabin was built in 1908 by Albert Birch, city editor for the Denver Post, and was placed on the State Register of Historic Places in 2001.
