‘SnowyGrass The Documentary’ offers a rare behind the scenes look at what it takes to put on a small bluegrass festival in Estes Park, Colorado from preparation through clean-up.
Festival organizer, artist and musician, Nadine Sekerez, is featured throughout the documentary displaying her dedication and passion for this festival. She is determined to do whatever it takes to ensure its success. However, it is not without its challenges which included a volunteer shortage, torrential rain that wouldn’t let up and a tense incident that leaves Nadine doubting her future with the festival. Through it all, a dedicated community of music lovers converge on the picturesque mountain town to enjoy the free-spirited, family oriented festival on the river.
Entwined throughout the film are insightful and candid interviews with musicians and incredible performances from Bluegrass and Americana string bands including Chain Station, The Special Consensus, Lost Penny, Bottlerocket Hurricane, Buffalo Commons, CPG All-Stars, Blue Canyon Boys and Rapidgrass. This is a must see for all Bluegrass fans.
